the last frontier
did you know that bears don't poop at all the whole time they're hibernating?
i might have gone my whole life w/out this exciting knowledge, if not for this trip!
other vacation highlights include... seeing bald eagles, whales, glaciers, and sled dog puppies (mush! mush!), learning how to read totem poles, eating all you can eat desserts every day (blub blub), and of course, spending time w/ the bestest momma in the whole wide world!

omg that's the kind of dog i want! except more likely the miniature version, which i'm sure is totally un-PC. was it cold?
so do the bears like.. totally make up for it when they wake up?
hmm.. well i guess they're not eating while they sleep.. so yea.. interesting..

Seriously, you would imagine a bear would go through a cycle of ending hibernation kind of like this:
1) Yawn
2) Stretch
3) Pop open a Bear Sports Illustrated
4) Lose 30lbs
